HDFIRE Single Interlock Preaction System with Wet Pilot Actuation is an advanced fire protection system designed to provide efficient fire suppression while minimizing the risk of water damage. This system integrates elements of both dry and preaction sprinkler systems to offer enhanced reliability and flexibility in safeguarding high-value assets and sensitive environments. In this system, the piping network is initially pressurized with air or nitrogen, similar to a dry pipe system, to prevent water from entering the pipes until a fire is detected. However, unlike a typical dry pipe system, the sprinkler heads are connected to a separate pilot line containing water. Upon activation of a fire detection device, such as a smoke detector or heat sensor, the system’s control panel triggers the release of the pilot pressure. This allows water to flow from the pilot line into the sprinkler heads, activating them to discharge water onto the fire. The “single interlock” feature means that water will only be released into the sprinkler heads when both the fire detection device and the wet pilot actuation system are activated simultaneously. This dual activation requirement helps prevent accidental water discharge, reducing the risk of water damage from false alarms. Overall, the Single Interlock Preaction System with Wet Pilot Actuation provides a rapid and effective response to fire emergencies while minimizing the potential for water damage in sensitive environments.
