HDFIRE A Double Interlock Preaction System with Electric/Electric Release is an advanced fire protection system designed to provide reliable fire suppression while minimizing the risk of accidental water discharge. This system combines features of both preaction and deluge sprinkler systems, offering enhanced flexibility and effectiveness in protecting high-value assets and sensitive environments. In this system, the piping network is initially pressurized with air or nitrogen, similar to a preaction system, to prevent water from entering the pipes until a fire is detected. The sprinkler heads are typically closed, ready to discharge water when activated. The “double interlock” feature refers to the system’s activation mechanism. Activation occurs only when both a fire detection device, such as a smoke detector or heat sensor, and an electric release system are triggered simultaneously. This dual activation requirement helps prevent accidental water discharge, reducing the risk of water damage from false alarms.
